Suzi has worked internationally with choirs for many years. She has been at the vanguard of the revival of singing in schools and the community in the UK over 18 years. In 2011 Suzi conducted the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment in the exciting new staging of Bach’s Matthew Passion for her new Foundation, Vocal Futures: building next generation’s audiences (16-22s). She is now touring this scheme and production internationally.
Suzi launched Vocal Futures, in May 2011 with a debate in the Cambridge Union, co-hosted by Stephen Fry. “This House Believes that Classical Music is no Longer Relevant to Today’s Young.” This has triggered international debate and interest. Rigorous academic research and evaluation underpins both of Suzi’s Foundations.
Suzi has just launched the new London Youth Choir, take a look here: http://londonyouthchoir.com/
